Junior Infants were busy learning all about Lines of Symmetry in maths. They each got the opportunity to create and finish a pattern using 2D shapes with their partner. They then created their own symmetrical butterfly displays to brighten their classroom!
Junior Infants had their first introduction to the world of coding through the use of BeeBots. BeeBots are programmable robots that the children can programme to move in a certain direction after entering their commands in sequence. The children had lots of fun using the BeeBots.
Junior Infants were delighted to receive their certificates after completing 10 weeks of the Fit4Class programme. The children had a lot of fun learning new skills and games to play during PE lessons all while becoming more fit and healthy!
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?
After reading the story 'The Three Little Pigs', the children split into groups to see if they could build a house for the little pigs using materials from the classroom strong enough to withstand the 'wolf's' huffing and puffing!
